Responsibilities:
This is a highly entrepreneurial opportunity for someone who wants to move beyond a traditional corporate strategy or analytical role and get closer to actually operating a business. You will work closely with senior leadership while overseeing business performance, growth strategies, teams, investments, and P&L.
The ideal candidate is commercially minded, analytical, and entrepreneurial, with the ability to identify opportunities, make decisions, execute quickly, and ultimately be accountable for results.
- Manage a P&L up to the gross profit level, focusing on revenue growth and cost optimization within assigned portfolios.
- Allocate investment budgets strategically to enhance operations and drive growth initiatives.
- Evaluate website performance and competitor analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic enhancements.
- Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive business plans to achieve set goals and objectives.
- Operate within a fast-paced environment, meeting goals and objectives within tight deadlines.
- Stay on top of industry trends, emerging technologies (e.g., AI), and best practices to maintain competitive advantage within the publishing vertical.
Requirements & Experience:
- Entrepreneurial mindset and leadership skills.
- Ambitious, fast learning, data-driven individual with a proven track record of success.
- Strong commercial acumen with an interest in owning and improving business performance.
- Previous P&L experience is an asset.
