- We are growing and looking for an experienced Real Estate Lawyer to lead and manage a team of five professionals while overseeing a high volume real estate practice. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of files, mentoring staff, and ensuring transactions run smoothly from start to finish. If you are organized, decisive and comfortable managing both people and workflow, you will thrive here.
What You’ll Do
- • Manage residential and commercial real estate files from agreement to closing
- • Supervise and support a team of five clerks and staff, including workflow oversight and training
- • Review Agreements of Purchase and Sale and advise clients on risks and obligations
- • Oversee title searches, requisitions, mortgage documentation and closing preparation
- • Coordinate with lenders, agents and opposing counsel to ensure smooth transactions
- • Resolve closing issues and provide practical legal solutions under tight timelines
- • Maintain quality control and consistency across the team’s files
What We’re Looking For
- • Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- • Strong experience handling residential and commercial real estate transactions from start to finish
- • Proven leadership experience managing or mentoring a team
- • Highly organized with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- • Detail oriented with a strong commitment to client service
- • Comfortable managing high volume files and tight deadlines
- • Contribute to business development efforts, including cultivating client relationships, referral networks, and growth initiatives
