About Our Client

My client is a media investment company that owns and operates over 30 authoritative brands across diverse verticals, including entertainment, sports, technology, automotive, gaming, lifestyle, and travel. Since its inception, the company has grown globally and now has offices in Montreal, New York, Miami, and London.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses.
• Support the monthly consolidation process and perform intercompany reconciliations.
• Analyze financial performance, trends, and key business drivers.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, while developing dashboards and KPIs to track business performance.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for major balance sheet accounts.
• Support audit requests and the preparation of supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with system implementations and upgrades, including ERP and financial reporting tools.
• Investigate and resolve A/R and A/P discrepancies by collaborating with sales and operations teams.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA designation completed or in progress is preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, financial analysis, or FP&A.
• Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems; Oracle NetSuite experience is an asset.
• Experience with financial reporting and business intelligence tools, such as Power BI, is an asset.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, taxation, and relevant regulations is considered an asset.
